Notable quotes from Dr. Tiger’s interview:
I pretty much had a straight road. College, med school, internship, residency, fellowship, job. There really wasn’t any thinking time.
I loved having my own space, and I loved being my own person, and I loved having my own name. It got confusing when I joined my husband’s practice. They ended up calling us “She Tiger and He Tiger”
I was really circling the drain. And I really felt I hit the bottom. But from the outside I looked perfect.
I said ‘I have to figure this out. I have to save my own life because no one else is going to do this for me’.
I just felt calm. I didn’t want to get up off the floor. I felt very clear. I wasn’t tired. I was calm.
The diagnosis that nobody made was the most important diagnosis that I ever made in my life, that I was suffering from chronic stress.
Do I want to make a lateral move and do what I’m doing now, or do I want to take everything I’ve learned and Implement it to help other people; and I chose the latter.
