The Publisher: Marlene Wüst-Smith, MD, FAAP

Dr. Marlene Wüst-Smith is the founder and publisher of Physician Outlook Magazine, a print and online magazine that hopes to change the division between the once sacred physician and patient relationship. The magazine has a dual audience: its target reader is BOTH the physician and the patient, and it effectively humanizes and simplifies issues important to patients of all ages, demographics and political persuasions. She believes in supporting those who have been traditionally underserved. The Physician Outlook Magazine recently launched a job board where it hopes to promote opportunities for physicians at healthcare organizations that still believe in patients over profits while creating confidentiality and autonomy for the physician candidate.

Dr. Spector is Associate Editor for Podiatry Today, a premier print and online publication in the field of podiatric medicine and surgery. She is also a member of the medical advisory board for Modulim, a microvascular imaging company. Dr. Spector has lectured on the national circuit for the American Association for Women Podiatrists, the Goldfarb Foundation and the American Podiatric Medical Association. She has spent nearly six years on the Executive Board of the American Association for Women Podiatrists, of which she is currently President. The Activist: Marion Mass, MD

Dr. Marion Mass is a pediatrician who has practiced in suburban Philadelphia for 21 years. She is a founding member and Co-Chair of Practicing Physicians of America, an organization dedicated to protecting the physician’s ability to serve their patients and to confront unnecessary and overbearing regulations that limit their ability to advocate for those patients. Dr. Mass is also a writer with works being published in The Wall Street Journal The Hill and The Washington Times in addition to advising policy shapers at the state and national level. She serves on the editorial board of her county newspaper, on the board of The Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership, and as a delegate to the Pennsylvania Medical society.  She guest blogs on various sites regarding teaching organic gardening to children.
