The Lender: G. Kenton Allen, MD, MBA, FASA

Dr. Allen is the Co-Founder of Doc2Doc Lending. He also serves as the vice chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover. Kenton was also elected as president of Health Partners of New Hampshire, Inc., a physician hospital organization that serves over 50 practices, representing over 500 physicians and allied health professionals across state’s Seacoast region.

The Student Leader: Michael Walls, DO, MPH

Michael is the National President of AMSA and a recent graduate of Touro University, California. He joined AMSA in 2014 as a premed at Cal Poly SLO and first got involved nationally on the Health Policy Team in 2017. Michael was drawn to AMSA because of its dedication to creating physician-leaders and for its long history of advocacy, not just for future physicians, but for its dedication to creating equitable access to healthcare for patients. Michael has strong personal interests in healthcare access, medical education
reform, treating substance use disorder, and making change through systemic policy change. He will be applying for Emergency Medicine Residency this year. He is currently living in Connecticut and enjoys rock climbing, home-brewing beer, and hiking with his fiancé and two dogs.

The Contemporary – Jessica Saxe, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Jessica Schorr Saxe worked as a family physician for the underserved for Carolinas HealthCare System for 34 years before retiring in 2015. In practice, she saw daily examples of people who did not get needed care for financial reasons, which strengthened her conviction that everyone should have access to health care. She chairs Health Care Justice—NC, which advocates improved Medicare for All as the most effective, economic way to extend high-quality health care to all. It is a chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program of which she is on the national board.

The Author: Rajani Katta, MD

Dr. Rajani Katta is a nationally recognized expert in dermatology and allergic contact dermatitis, she has extensively researched how diet can affect the skin and the body’s overall health. Her advice on skin care and diet has been published in many magazines and newspapers, including the Oprah Magazine, Prevention, Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Men’s Health, and the Dr. Oz magazine. She has been interviewed as a dermatology expert on the ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox networks, as well as NPR and multiple radio stations.

Committed to furthering the understanding of skin disease, Dr. Katta has authored over 70 scientific articles and chapters in prestigious publications, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has also been honored to serve on the Review Panels for the Archives of Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and American Family Physician. She is an accomplished speaker, and has lectured frequently at national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Contact Dermatitis Society. She has also spoken at such institutions as the University of Chicago, Northwestern University and the University of Southern California.
