She has held roles as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ, Physician Advisor/Medical Director for a large hospital system, Medical Director for a six-center family planning agency and Medical Director at a local and national insurance company. 

As the Founder and CEO of Just The Right Balance LLC, she offers coaching, consulting, workshops and training to help physicians and healthcare providers transition into high performing leaders who will improve the healthcare landscape by building healthy communities and strong organizations. With the creation of the Physician Rising Up Leadership Program, organizations can have access to the Physicians Leadership Academy training and resources needed to support physicians in their transition from medical practice to medical leadership. The Mindful Doc: Dael Waxman, MD

Dael Waxman, M.D. is a Professor of Family Medicine at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. Previously Interim Chair and Vice-Chair of the Department of Family Medicine, he continues on the faculty there as well as serves as the Medical Director of Physician Well-being for Medical Education for Atrium Health and Medical Director of Patient-Centered Programming at Atrium CMC-Mercy. In addition to his medical background, he has received training in and has been integrating family therapy, clinical hypnosis, mind/body medicine, mindfulness, and leadership coaching into teaching, practice, and faculty development for over 25 years. He has taught regionally, nationally, and internationally on: physician burnout and well-being, mindfulness in medicine, developing a patient and family-centered culture, family influences on health, physician-patient communication, and collaboration between mental health and primary care.

The Philanthropist: Dr. Steven Reich

In this interview we’ll meet Dr. Steven Reich, an orthopedic spine surgeon with a busy practice in central New Jersey.  In addition to his private practice, Dr. Reich has an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Rutgers Robert Woods Johnson University Medical School where he particularly enjoys working with medical students.  He has also been politically active for many years and was appointed by the Governor of New Jersey to the New Jersey Commission on Spine Injury Research, which he also served as chairman. It was in that capacity that Dr. Reich testified before the U. S. Congress.
