John Jurica’s Prescription for Success:
Number 1: Be a lifelong learner. Not just medical, but management skills, leadership skills, technology, finance. But I also think people should remain curious in their interpersonal relationships.
Number 2: Consistency is the outcome. Whatever you do, if you have made a commitment to follow a path, to start a business, to start a new advocation, try to do it with consistency.
Number 3: Say yes to things that push you outside your comfort zone. You don’t want to say yes to everything, you want to be a little bit picky, but try to say yes to the things that push into a new area outside of your area of comfort. That’s where most of the growth occurs.

Notable quotes from John’s interview:
I always thought in my mind medicine was about taking care of the whole family.
We are pretty much kids when we decide to go into medicine. For the most part, even if we are 20 years old. And there are many people I talk to, particularly guests I have on my podcast, that say ‘It wasn’t what I thought it was.’
I’ve had some times in my life where my relationships kind of suffered. My first marriage failed. I decided I was going to learn how to better communicate with my family and my kids, so that was something that I learned.
Be curious, consistently.
People need consistency if they want to rely on somebody. And to be successful takes consistency
